Vivian Lee Adkins (she/her/hers) joined the Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center in January 2023. Ms. Adkins earned her law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Barnard College of Columbia University in New York City. In law school, Ms. Adkins was an Editor at the Maryland Law Review and examined voter’s rights and racially-based redistricting. Ms. Adkins then clerked for the Honorable Andrew Sonner, Maryland Court of Special Appeals. Following her clerkship, Ms. Adkins was an associate at Wright, Constable, and Skeen in Baltimore where she handled employment discrimination, family law, predatory lending, and other cases. She then became a research analyst in communications law at Pike and Fischer (now Bureau of National Affairs). Ms. Adkins has also been active in the community volunteering her time with students at a Title 1 school in Montgomery County in an after school literacy program.
Ms. Adkins is licensed to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
